    Pre-cultivation: early varieties -from end of January to beginning of July;

                              shredding varieties from end of March to beginning of April

    Direct sowing:   early varieties - from end of March till May;

                              varieties for storage - in April

    Germination temperature: 15 – 20°C

    Distances: 40-75 x 40-50 cm

    Harvest:   after approx.10-20 weeks (variety dependent):

                     early varieties - from June; shredding varieties - from September;

                     storage and autumn varieties - just before the first frosts in autumn.

    Required quantity of seeds: 2-4 g/acre
