Dieses, ursprünglich aus China stammende, niedrige, 15–20 cm hochwachsende Blattgemüse besticht durch die, bei kühler Witterung wie vergoldet wirkende, attraktive Blattrosette. Die Sorte ist absolut kälteliebend und für den Anbau in der Nebensaison prädestiniert. Das zarte Blatt ist gegart oder roh im Salat eine besonders schmackhafte Ergänzung in der winterlichen Küche.
