The broad oval fruits of this exceptionally large, straw-yellow "giant onion" can reach up to 300 g when direct-sown, and 700 g or more when grown from transplants started in February. Vegetation period: approx. 170–175 days. An excellent salad onion with a spicy-sweet flavour and mild pungency. Limited storability.
